November Highlights

November is not quite done yet, and we’ve had a ton of fun! Here’s a peak at what we’ve been up to lately….

We just wrapped up Liam’s 2nd Healthy Kids Running Series race season. He aged into another group this year that put him into the 1/4 mile race as opposed to the 50-yard dash, so it was definitely more challenging for him, but he gave it 110% & was amazing! He had done the 1st series back in Spring 2015 and enjoyed the experience so much that he wanted to give it another go around. I will admit that I thought the 1/4 was a a lot for the kinders to do, but he did it every week. We continue to be SO VERY proud of this little dude! He is a special little guy ❀

Little man recently began taking weekly martial arts classes with Victory Martial Arts. We really love their facility & all the staff there. In addition to the fact that they are teaching him martial arts, they also teach the kids self-respect, self-discipline, good behavior, and good-manners. He’s already earned a stripe on his white belt and is up for a belt promotion next month. We’ll keep you posted! πŸ™‚

Liam had his 1st elementary school field trip, which coincidentally was on Veteran’s Day. I didn’t have to work that day, so it was a perfect opportunity for me to be able to chaperone. We headed out to one of our favorite spots to visit in the fall — Green Meadows Petting Farm.

This trip was Liam’s very 1st time holding the baby chick by himself. He was super excited. I got to hang out with all boys in his class. They were a fun group & definitely kept me on my toes all day πŸ˜‰

We couldn’t have asked for better weather & the farm was beautiful! Overall, it was a great field trip with his school ❀

Call me crazy, but afterwards, that same day of the field trip…..even though I was exhausted….I toted us over to the Millennia Mall for pictures with Santa. I LOVE the setup & the Santa there is the best & {even though it seems super early} going around Veteran’s Day is honestly the only way to avoid crazy long lines. Sooo, yes, some day, Liam will look back and say I was crazy. I’m okay with that πŸ™‚

He loved his visit with Santa!! The picture is adorbs ❀ ….I will be posting that soon. Here he is just after he took it.

Being silly with mommy while waiting in line!

Our latest adventure was out to the Long & Scott’s Corn Maze in Mount Dora.

img_0340

We’ve talked about doing this for a few years, but for one reason or another, it just never worked into our schedule. As much as I try to not overbook us on the weekends at this time of the year….I usually do. LOL! So, yes, this was our very 1st time literally going out & getting lost in a corn maze. It was a different experience for our family of 3, but we made it through. The conversation between us within the maze was pretty hilarious at times! It was also a tad bit warm that day, so it made for the getting lost part a bit more frustrating. I think we were all over it rather quickly.

It’s definitely been a busy month for us, but we’ve had a lot of fun!

Until next time, friends….

Fall Fun at Green Meadows

Things have been quiet around here lately but that’s not because we’ve not been busy. Just the opposite actually. It’s been hard to find time to sit down & collect my thoughts. We are definitely feeling the hustle & bustle of the holiday season….not a bad thing, though. Makin’Β some family memories, right? ❀

Recently, we took, what’s become an annual trip, to Green Meadows Petting Farm in Kissimmee. It’s such a cute & fun family place. We especially love to visit during the month of October because each guest leaves with a pumpkin that they pick out on the property πŸ™‚

You can check out our past trips hereΒ and here

Each year, I’ve tried to get Mr. Liam to milk the cow. He wants no part of it πŸ˜‰ …however, this year he did pet Mrs. Cow so that was something new.

We spent the afternoon with our good friends and had the best time. Liam & Kenadie have been besties since they were babes ❀ Β ….I seriously can’t believe how much these two have grown up. Especially as I looked back at pics from our visits to the farm the last few years.

Ah, the goats are always a HUGE fave for us πŸ™‚ …so stinkin’ cute! ….& always SO hungry!

Liam got a kick out of the Llama this year because we are now reading the “Llama Llama” books. He thought this guy looked like the character from his books πŸ˜‰

The pony rides are another fav for our little man ❀ …this was the 1st year we didn’t have to walk with him, as he was big enough to ride with just the staff member (*insert mama tears…lol*)

Green Meadows Farm

Last Sunday, we headed out to Green Meadows Farm with our Sunshine Babies group for another fun-filled fall adventure! It was an absolutely gorgeous day & we had the most perfect weather πŸ™‚ …so thankful for that! You can look back onΒ last year’s fall trip, hereΒ {so cute to see how much little man has changed / grown upΒ }

2014-10-19_Green Meadows Farm 001

Our 1st stop was the hayride around the property. A nice, easy way to kick off the morning.

How cute was this sign?!?! For some reason, I didn’t see it last year, but we got him to stand in front of it this time. Yeap, we’re clearly at the 3 foot mark πŸ˜‰

2014-10-19_Green Meadows Farm 010

Oh, the goats! He wasn’t as thrilled to pet them this go around, but this little guy was a cutie! He was one of a set of twins that was only ELEVEN DAYS OLD!! ❀ ….we were saying HIΒ  to him, here.

2014-10-19_Green Meadows Farm 017

Definitely got a kick out of feeding the goats! Look at the joy on that face πŸ™‚

2014-10-19_Green Meadows Farm 021

Ponies for days!! I think you can tell by the sweet expression on that face that he was IN LOVE!

2014-10-19_Green Meadows Farm 041

Well, hello there baby duckie!

2014-10-19_Green Meadows Farm 056

Ah, the pumpkin patch! One of the perks of heading out to Green Meadows during October is that each paying guest can take home a pumpkin….sooo, we filled our wagon with 3 lovelies that the boys will be carving up this weekend. It was MUCH harder {compared to prev years} to get this lively 3 year old to pose and/or stay still in a way that suited my photo-crazed ideas….the out-stretched arms with a cheeseΒ  was the winner of the afternoon. I’ll take it ❀

2014-10-19_Green Meadows Farm 064

Another one of my stolen moments….searching for the perfect pumpkin for Liam {he wanted one of the smaller ones}

2014-10-19_Green Meadows Farm 069

Loved this one!

2014-10-19_Green Meadows Farm 074

Last but not least….I was super excited to see the same SPOOKYΒ  sign this year, as we had come across last year….so, I attempted to re-create last year’s shot. You can DEFINITELY see the difference in how much this little man has grown.

2014-10_spooky comparison collage

It was a great day with our friends from the Sunshine Babies group! Liam had an awesome time exploring around and checking out all the animals. It’s, for sure, one of our favorite places to visit during this time of the year.

Until next time, friends!!

Green Meadows Farm 2013

Mid-October, we met up with some fun new friends, as well as one special friend from Liam’s school to visit all our animal friends & pick pumpkins at Green Meadows Farm in Kissimmee.

2013-10-20_Green Meadows Farm 050

Liam was excited to spend the afternoon with one of his besties, Kenadie. I tried hard to get the two of them to both smile at the camera…but, well, ya know how that goes with kiddos…HA! These two have been buddies since they started at daycare in the baby room….they love hanging out together. It’s super cute!

2013-10-20_Green Meadows Farm 065

Liam’s face in this shot is totally like….”mom, aren’t you done YET??” πŸ™‚

Kisses for Baby Duckies!!!

2013-10-20_Green Meadows Farm 013

I’m not 100%, but I think these are all the goats we saw here at the farm back in March as babies. Obviously, they were much bigger this go round. I think Liam walked the entire pen and touch every.single.one! He kept saying, “Hi, goat!” to each one…lol.

2013-10-20_Green Meadows Farm 018

The sheep were in the same pen — each one got a little pet, too!

2013-10-20_Green Meadows Farm 035

Chicken Coop!! Daddy actually helped Liam to hold this one on his own! O.M.G. — THAT kinda freaked him out RIGHT after I snapped this picture!

2013-10-20_Green Meadows Farm 044

Absolutely cannot forget the pony ride! Giddy-Up!!

2013-10-20_Green Meadows Farm 056

Quick family pic on the hayride! Liam was fascinated that the tractor was pulling us along.

2013-10-20_Green Meadows Farm 069

We wrapped up the visit with getting to pick our pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. Liam carefully selected which two he wanted.

If you have never checked out Green Meadows or haven’t been in a while, you should definitely give a whirl….it’s a pretty neat place for the little ones to explore & learn. Definitely recommend!
